The Egyptian
Judo, Aikido & Sumo Federation
-
Judo Sport had
been practiced in Egypt since the early fifties of the twentieth
century and it was included in the Military sports then it moved
to the clubs and the sportive institutions.

The Egyptian Judo
Federation was officially established in 1963 under the name of
the Egyptian Judo & Karate Federation and then Karate had its on
Federation.

The Aikido Sport
joined the Federation followed by the Sumo Sport and the
official name of the federation became "The Egyptian Judo,
Aikido & Sumo Federation".

Since 1964 Egypt
took part in all official Judo Tournaments on all the African,
International and world wide levels

The Egyptian
National Teams achieved many places in the tournaments and won
many medals in the African championships and the Mediterranean
Games and all these efforts were crowned by the winning of the
Egyptian Champion Mr. Mohamed Ali Rashwan of the Silver Medal in
Los Anglos Olympic Games 1984.

The Headquarter of
the Arab Judo Federation is located in Egypt and headed by Gen.
Mohamed Sameh Mobasher - The President of the Egyptian Judo,
Aikido & Sumo Federation & the Arab Judo Federation.
